[edit] Savannah, GA

A Wi-Fi coffee shop located next to beautiful Forsythe Park, ... http://quantumtour.com/entity/forsythe//tour/forsythe/

Side note to brag about this park: the long soccer / frisbee / outdoor film areas are off on each quadrant of this large rectangular city park. http://quantumtour.com/entity/forsythe//tour/forsythe/

... "The Bean", the Sentient Bean Coffee Shop http://www.sentientbean.com/ will host the onewebday voice capture recording sessions on Wed 9/20, Thurs 9/21, Fri 9/22.

We'll interview from a table on the sidewalk. There are two sets of interview questions, depending on our interviewee.

The main purpose is to document accents and dialects in Savannah, both native to the region and elsewhere, so we want to have a reading portion (for uniformity) with some web questions. Seniors are encouraged to drop by and let us exchange a few words for a podcast.

We'll produce a podcast onsite, recording and saving the voices for post-production editing. Attached is a MS Word doc with some web-related survey questions.

This is also occurring in SC but at another date.

[edit] South Carolina

SC participants will use several existing email lists to announce a gathering for photos at a "certain point" along the waterfront. Using a municipal Wi-Fi connection they'll upload photos while onsight to get a near-real time documentation of the nearly spontaneous gathering. A discussion of the web and several web-related skills demo session will follow at one of several Wi-Fi pubs in downtown Charleston, SC.
