San Francisco, CA
From OneWebDayWiki
Shannon Clark (shannon DOT clark AT gmail DOT com) is arranging a series of flashmobs in SF to celebrate OneWebDay.
Morning - We will gather outside of 1 Market St. in downtown San Francisco at 8:30 AM to greet commuters and downtown workers. We'll hand out OneWebDay stickers and buttons, take photos, and show people who are interested how to add their voices to the web and to the global One Web Day celebrations. BRING - cameras, tablet PCs/Laptops with EVDO, web-enabled cell phones, and your outgoing personalities. Other schwag celebrating the web welcome!
NOON - at Union Square in San Francisco. We'll gather in the Square, hand out remaining OneWebDay stickers and buttons and over lunch hold a public, One Web Day "camp" - gathering in small groups to discuss the Web's impact - on ourselves, on our businesses and on our communities. BRING - cameras, laptops (free wifi at union square), schwag and again your outgoing personalities!
All throughout the day if you can't meet up with us downtown, please add some content to your own blog, to the webshots collection of OneWebDay photos, or to the onewebday video archives. Also help by spreading the word at wifi hotspots you visit - asking them to post a note about one web day or add a link to their splash pages.
CALL me at 1.800.454.4929 if you need directions or would like to help! Contributions are welcome but most important are people! And please spread the word!
